Quality you can taste!
We want to Share the Love in everything we do, from how farmers are paid to how we caretake the earth, from the quality of our processing to the consistency of our product. This is why we guarantee what we make and know you’ll love it!
We source exclusively from small family farms who work through a local organization to centrally ferment & dry the cacao beans. This is truly single-origin cacao.
Our cacao is certified organic, without the use of pesticides or other chemicals. We pay above international prices for cacao, ensuring that the small-scale farmers and workers all along the production process receive a fair wage.
The farms we work with selects premium varieties to plant and propagate. After the cacao pods are harvested, the cacao beans are fully fermented by professionals trained in this vital, often lacking, step. Once the beans have undergone their transformation, they are sun-dried and sent to our chocolate shop.
In our bean-to-bar chocolate shop, we then precision roast the beans and remove the husks. After we refine the cacao nibs into a liquid paste, we set it aside to cool and harden. We then shred the cacao down to make our flakes or temper into our signature bar.
A great way to start your day! This simple & quick recipe will...
The full dose for when you have a couple of hours to yourself...

Single Origin Ceremonial Cacao
Piura Blanco, Peru
Piura Blanco is a true heirloom cacao that has been grown in the Sechura desert for at least 1,000 years since seeds were carried over the Andes from Amazonia. In northwestern Peru, lies the community of Puerta Pulache, where very narrow river valleys cut through the desert as they come down from the Andes. This creates a unique microclimate for growing this rare cacao.
Social & Environmental Impact
These particular communities are some of the only cacao producers where no other varieties (like hybrids such as CCN-51) have worked their way into the mix. Their work is preserving an important ecological & cultural heritage with these beans. The Piura Blanco beans are naturally around 30% pure white beans. The farmers are paid at least 25% over going market rates and above Fair Trade minimums. The communities cultivate cacao, rice, and a few other crops including mango and lime.
Quality is everything
We pay a premium price for a premium product. These long-term relationships offer us consistently high-quality cacao, and the farmers access to a stable and high value market so they can earn a living wage. The farmers are trained on farm productivity, ecological practices and cacao quality. The cacao is brought wet to a central fermentation & sun-drying location, ensuring professional standards in post-harvest processing.
